UniCredit Bank (PJSC Ukrsotsbank) and UNITY-BARS, the official developer of BankID software, have signed a memorandum on cooperation, which is expected to give start to a pilot roll-out of BankID for UniCredit Bank clients.
«We have been interested in this project from the very start, because BankID will clearly make the process of rendering administrative services more easy and comfortable for customers. Moreover, BankID may later serve as the basis for implementation and development of remote identification of clients in banking services. Customers will be able to login via one bank and access digital services of any bank at any time. In turn it will spur up development of online services and electronic document management, – said Tamara Savoshchenko, CEO of UniCredit Bank. – In my opinion, the National Bank has adopted a correct decision about creating a unified national system of identification for individuals and legal entities, BankID, outlining general standards and rules for all banks. We are pleased to become one of the pioneers of the project.»
It is expected that BankID will become available to UniСredit Bank clients this October.
«We chose UNITY-BARS as our partner due to the company’s great experience in the implementation of BankID on platforms of other banks in Ukraine, – commented Andrii Maiba, IT Director of UniCredit Bank. – High professionalism of UNITY-BARS experts will make the integration of BankID into our bank’s system way quicker and more effective.»
The BankID system is called to improve client verification over the Internet. It means, if you want to verify your identity when ordering online services from public institutions, all you need to do is just enter your online banking login/password and pass the second stage of authorization (for example, SMS-password).
